A 50 y/o woman (88 kg, BMI 31) is undergoing repeated direct microlaryngoscopy with KTP laser treatment and cidofovir injection for treatment of her laryngeal papillomatosis. She has not tolerated office topicalization +/- sedation by the surgeon for endoscopic treatment, and therefore has been brought to the operating room on multiple occasions. On all occasions in the operating room, she has been able to be easily ventilated under general anesthesia, but very difficult to intubate.
