Welcome to the Society for Airway Management

NEWS
ANNOUNCEMENT The Research Committee of our society would like to keep a comprehensive bibliography of our members’ publications. We hope that this bibliography will: [1] showcase our members’ scientific work, [2]provide a scientific foundation for our discussions, [3] facilitate networking within the airway research community. We would like to include all peer-reviewed publications either in print or on the internet, including book chapters. At this stage we do not intend to include abstracts or non peer-reviewed material. The intention is to list these publications on our website as well as on a poster at the annual meeting. Would you please send a list of all your airway related publications in the past five years, preferably in standard format to Leonard Pott (lpott@psu.edu)? Including a DOI (digital object identifier) or a PMID (Pubmed ID) would be helpful. Thank you Elizabeth Behringer, Chairperson, Research Committee, Immediate Past President and Leonard Pott, Project Chair.

The Society for Airway Management (SAM) was founded in 1995 as an international, multi-specialty, not-for-profit corporation. We provide an interdisciplinary forum for physicians and others interested in clinical airway management. Members are engaged in anesthesiology, emergency medicine, pulmonology, trauma care, head and neck surgery, EMT / paramedic care, and hail from two dozen countries all over the globe. Members are encouraged to become active by participating in committees, attending the annual meeting and contributing articles to our newsletter, The Airway Gazette.
E-mail based discussion service: We also offer an e-mail based discussion service where members discuss a variety of airway-related topics. To join, simply send e-mail to the Airway Discussion Forum Coordinator, at Bettina.schmitz@ttuhsc.edu
